Mosaic Mauritius Ltd.

The booking process begins after the booking details have been cleared with the client.
The client makes a booking request at Mosaic Mauritius Ltd. using our online form, email, fax or phone.
Mosaic Mauritius Ltd. reverts back to the client to confirm availibiliy of product or service. After confirmation the client is bound to the Terms and Conditions of Mosaic Mauritius Ltd.. It is the client’s duty to read and accept the Terms and Conditions of Mosaic Mauritius Ltd. before. A contract exists when Mosaic Mauritius issues a confirmation invoice.

Payment

Payments must be made by bank transfer. The client will find bank details on his invoice.
The booking will be confirmed upon receipt of a 50% deposit of total price.
Please note, if the booking is in high season , it will be necessary to pay the full amount.
Payment has to be effected latest 5 days upon receipt of invoice. If those payment terms are not respected, Mosaic Mauritius Ltd. reserves the right to cancel the reservation.
The balance due must be paid at the latest 30 days prior to the client’s arrival.
For bookings which are made less than 2 months before arrival date, the whole amount has to be settled.

Booking and Cancellation fees

If a client chooses to abstain from the travel contract by making an official cancellation, following cancellation fees apply:

no cancellation fees if more than 60 days prior to arrival, unless otherwise stipulated
60 - 30 days prior to arrival: 50% cancellation fee
less than 30 days prior to arrival : 100% cancellation fee

A travel insurance which covers cancellations fees is advisable .

Booking alterations

If Mosaic Mauritius cancels or makes any material alteration to the booking, it will inform the client as soon as is reasonably practicable and will offer the client, in the case of alteration, the choice of accepting the alteration, which must be of comparable standard, if available, or in either case, a prompt and full refund of all money paid.

Limitation of Liability

All information concerning the products and services offered by Mosaic Mauritius Ltd. on its website is continually checked to ensure that the information provided on the site is correct.
Every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy of descriptions and information.
However, Mosaic Mauritius Ltd. cannot be held liable if errors might occur. Products may be withdrawn due to renovation or maintenance of accomodation, changes occur due to unforseen circumstances like weather conditions, lack of demand etc.
All fares are subject to seasonal, exchange and other fluctuations.
Offers may be withdrawn without prior notice.
Mosaic Mauritius Ltd. shall under no circumstances be liable for any kind of loss or damage of property or for any kind of accident or injury, which may occur during the stay of the tenants.
Mosaic Mauritius Ltd. is not responsible concerning problems with local services such as water, electricity supply or telephone network.
If for reasons beyond our control, the selected villa can’t be rented we reserve the right to find an alternative accommodation of equal value. However we may refuse if the expenses are too high.
Sports activities and vehicle rentals are at the customer’s own risks.
Please note that Mosaic Mauritius Ltd. cannot be liable for any delays or cancellations of flights.

Deposit

You should note that house owners can require a deposit, dependant on the accommodation. The deposit is payable at the time of booking or on the day of arrival, depending on your accommodation. The deposit will be returned at the end of the rental. In the event of damage and/or loss of the rented property, and/or circumstances for which the client is to blame, the total incurred damage will be deducted from the deposit. In all instances where the costs of damage and/or loss of the rented property or the damage suffered by the owner and/or accommodation provider exceed the paid deposit the client must immediately pay the excess to the house owner. All instances of breakage, loss and/or damages must be reported immediately to the house owner or Mosaic Mauritius Ltd. and paid for.

Duration of stay, arrival and departure

The minimum stay is seven days as a rule. We may agree to a shorter stay on a case by case basis.
The rented property at your holiday destination will generally be available for occupancy after 14h00.
You should inform the Mosaic Mauritius Ltd. if you expect to arrive after 18:00 hrs. On the day of departure you must vacate the accommodation before 10:00 hrs. If clients wish to have guaranteed earlier access to either their hotel room or private accommodation, they must book the previous night to avoid any disappointment and/or inconvenience.
Upon departure the client is expected to leave the accommodation in decent condition . Guests are responsible for looking after the property, leaving it in good order and in a clean condition. The items in and around the accommodation should be put back in their original location (as upon arrival).

Changes and cancellations

The accommodation provider has the right to alter or cancel the agreed services in any material respect on account of compelling circumstances. Compelling circumstances mean circumstances of such a nature that the accommodation provider cannot reasonably be held to further fulfilment of the agreement. The accommodation provider may cancel the booking in the event of force majeure, war, strikes and natural disasters. In such circumstances the booking agent will be under obligation to refund any amounts already paid. The accommodation provider reserves the right to replace the rented property by an equivalent property for reasons of quality assurance.

Complaints

If you notice a mistake or deficiency at your accomodation, you should immediately report it to the house owner or to Mosaic Mauritius Ltd.
This may avoid further inconvenience and will give us an opportunity to resolve the complaint sooner. If your complaint was not satisfactorily resolved , you must send your complaint in writing , providing details, within two weeks of leaving the accommodation, in the absence of which the complaint will no longer be admissible. You will forfeit all rights to a refund if you obtain other accommodation or leave the rented property prematurely without first consulting Mosaic Mauritius Ltd.

Insurance

Standard travel insurance is advisable for all travellers. Furthermore, you may opt for a special travel insurance scheme that also covers, partly or integrally, your cancellation fees if you ever have to cancel your trip for important and justified health or personal reasons.

Commitments of the client

If the number of people in the villa exceeds the number of people determined by the contract at the booking time and if the clients does not abide to the local laws, we reserve the right to ask tenants to leave immediately without notice and refund. The accommodation provided is for the exclusive use of clients shown on the booking form or other confirmation email. Sub-letting, sharing or assignment is strictly prohibited.
If any damage should occur during the stay, the client will immediately communicate to Mosaic Mauritius and pay or replace the goods.


Airport transfer

The taxi service that is recommended by Mosaic Mauritius to ensure airport transfers at the request of clients operates as an independent service. Any client travelling in any such vehicle or taxi recommended by Mosaic Mauritius does so at his own risk. It is also the responsibility of the client to verify their required airport check-in time for the airport transfer.

Passport and Visa regulations

The client is responsible for the adherence to all regulations required in order to be eligible to qualify for the countries entries requirements before starting the travel journey. All travellers must carry a valid passport and if applicable, appropriate visas. Please ensure your passport is valid for 6 months beyond the duration of the trip.

Cyclone and bad weather conditions

There are no refunds made due to cyclones and bad weather conditons and cancelled flights. Departing clients who are unable to check out on the scheduled day, have to pay for additional nights.

Jurisdiction

All settlement of disputes will be governed by the laws of The Republic of Mauritius.
